What is creativity?
It's one of those philosophical questions that will leave you with a headache and a distinct feeling of dissatisfaction as you toil with its ambiguity. Luckily, there are some people who are willing to devote their lives to answering it. What have their brilliant minds conceived? Well, most often creativity is simply the process of re-organizing or applying existing ideas and concepts in a new way. It's not inventing the puzzle pieces, but being the one to put the puzzle pieces together to form a larger picture.
So...how do you become more creative? I would argue the best way is to expose yourself to as much information (in any form and on every topic) as possible. It stands to reason that the more fragments of random information you are exposed to the more chances you will have to piece some of those fragments together into a new idea. I suppose it is the same principle as fishing with nets.
To extend our 'idea net' we are compiling resources we all use to get that other perspective, or discover that new game changing technology. Click on the picture and zoom in to learn about the various resources we have listed. Happy fishing!
